Tecnet & The Community

Community Involvement

Tecnet contributes to charities and not-for-profit organizations who do the hard work of caring for our community in Victoria and across BC.

Tecnet strives to give back to the urban and rural communities that our clients and employees call home throughout British Columbia. We want to make a difference in the communities where we operate and live; we believe that a sense of social responsibility is a fundamental part of good corporate citizenship. We support many charities and philanthropic endeavors.

Some examples of charitable organizations we’ve contributed to include:

  • BC Children’s Hospital Foundation
  • BC Cancer Foundation
  • Heart and Stroke Foundation
  • Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB)
  • Mustard Seed Food Bank
  • The Cridge Centre for the Family
  • Royal Canadian Legion
  • Our Place Society
  • Victoria Hospice
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Victoria and Area
  • The Tecnet Christmas Hamper: every year the team at Tecnet supports a local family, with enough gifts to stuff a whole Tecnet car! (Picture on the left)

Tecnet supports the development of local expertise across BC.

Not only does Tecnet give back to the communities in British Columbia and across Canada, but we also strive to support local technology development and education. We are the longest operating computer services company in Canada, a true testament to the enduring commitment to information technology, and the development of local expertise. Tecnet participates in co-op programs, allowing students the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and help further their educations. Tecnet supports co-op students from across the province, in particular, we frequently hire co-op students and new grads from Camosun College, the University of Victoria, and BCIT.
