Leadership Team

ED LIFE

Ed Life – President

Ed Life founded Tecnet Canada Inc. in 1974.

Initially the company provided both computer and Life Safety Systems Service.  As there were very few computers, the Life Safety side of the business kept things going, operating under the name Logic Consulting.  In 1979, the company split off its Vancouver operation and continued to operate as Cantec Resources Corp.

When IBM introduced the PC in 1980 Ed re-focused on developing a brand of computer service and support for the business and broader public sector in British Columbia .  The Vancouver operation was re-instated and a service network of local technicians  established (BC Tecnet).  This soon grew to become Tecnet Canada Inc.; a federally chartered company operating across the country.

On June 4, 1984, Tecnet moved to our new facility in Victoria and completed our expansion on that site in 2000.

Ed is proud to have been involved in the evolution of computer services over the years and into the future as Tecnet continues to grow it’s managed services and professional IT services business while continuing to promote and maintain its traditional break/fix onsite services.

Ed’s approach in operating Tecnet Canada inc.  has and always will be as a customer driven organization, focused on successfully delivering best-in-class computer support services since 1974.

Tecnet’s customers include its partners and their customers.  In some cases, the partners compete with us and in other cases; we collaborate to deliver the best service solution for our customers.
