Hardware Enhancement: Lenovo Server
Server Selection
Client opted for the Lenovo server due to its robust specifications, scalability, and compatibility with the agency’s workload. The server’s dual-socket architecture and multiple-process support ensured ample computing power for running critical applications and services.
Storage Configuration
The Server’s versatile storage options, including RAID configurations and support for solid-state drives (SSDs), were leveraged to ensure high-speed data access and redundancy.
Network Integration
The server’s advanced networking capabilities facilitated seamless communication between virtual machines and external networks. Dual NICs (Network Interface Cards) provided redundancy and load balancing.
Virtualization Platform: VMware
Platform Selection
VMware was chosen as the virtualization platform for its stability, wide adoption, and comprehensive management tools. VMware’s compatibility with diverse operating systems and its track record in handling mission-critical workloads made it the ideal choice.
Virtual Machine Management
