Network Refresh Project Management

Ensuring new network components are compatible with existing systems and software can be complex. Incompatibility can lead to integration challenges, system failures, or the need for additional modifications, increasing costs and time.

Tecnet collaborated closely with the client to ensure detailed planning and precise execution to avoid errors and ensure smooth implementation.

The existing network infrastructure was outdated, unreliable, and posed security risks. The client needed a more robust and secure network infrastructure to support their day-to-day operations, including internet connectivity, wiring remediation, and equipment upgrades.

The challenges included obsolete firewall/security appliances, outdated Wi-Fi Access Points (APs), aging network switches, and the lack of a reliable power backup system.

The Network Refresh Project achieved the following outcomes:

• Improved business continuity and network resilience for all 90 offices across British Columbia.
• Enhanced end-to-end manageability of the client’s network.
• Implementation of standardized and cost-effective approaches for wiring and equipment racking, resulting in improved network reliability, supportability, and safety for staff.
• Successful completion of the project within the allocated budget.
