Every year, Tecnet is proud to support Sources Foundation and the incredible work they do to uplift communities across British Columbia. In 2024, our commitment continued as we joined an unforgettable evening at “Rock Around the Clock – A Sources Sock Hop”, a vibrant 1950s-themed fundraiser held in Surrey, B.C.
Our CEO, Matthew Van Heyst, attended the event on behalf of Tecnet, celebrating alongside a passionate community of leaders, supporters, and changemakers. The energy in the room was electric—guests showed up in classic retro fashion, vinyl records lined the walls, and swing dancers kept the dance floor alive.
Most importantly, the event raised a record-breaking $605,000, far surpassing its original $425,000 goal. These funds will support the launch of the $5 million capital campaign for Foundry South Surrey—a free, accessible health and wellness centre for youth aged 12 to 24. The centre will bring together mental health, physical and sexual health, substance use, and employment services, serving young people in South Surrey, White Rock, and Cloverdale.
As a Gold Partner Sponsor, Tecnet is honoured to play a role in supporting such a meaningful and forward-thinking initiative. Giving back to our communities—especially causes focused on youth empowerment and mental health—is deeply aligned with our values.
“Together with Sources and other community supporters, we’re building a future where youth have access to the care and support they need to thrive,” said Matthew Van Heyst.
At Tecnet, we believe in using technology, time, and community partnerships to make a real difference—because giving back is part of who we are.➡️ To learn more about Foundry South Surrey or to support the campaign, visit: FoundryBC.ca
