The Challenge

The non-profit organization encountered multiple challenges in managing its server infrastructure amidst its office relocation.

They needed to evaluate whether to transition to a serverless environment, establish a new physical server, move existing servers, or maintain operations temporarily at their old location. Ensuring minimal disruption to their daily operations during the move was crucial, as was managing the associated costs and risks of each option.

Additionally, the organization aimed to migrate to Azure to capitalize on cloud benefits and future-proof their IT setup, further complicating the decision-making process.

Solution Design

We approached the project with a strategic mindset, emphasizing a phased migration to Azure, carefully balancing cost, risk, and time to meet the client’s needs effectively.

The project concluded with updating IT documentation, decommissioning old servers, and applying Azure VM reservations.
