Many children and youth in Canada struggle with societal barriers and face adversities in their lives. With the support of a mentor, these risks can be reduced or even avoided, and youth can reach their full potential. Big Brothers Big Sisters mission is to create and support positive mentoring relationships for young people to help them succeed in life, with a vision that “Every Child Who Needs a Mentor, Has a Mentor”.
Tecnet proudly supported Big Brothers Big Sisters Victoria’s Bowl for Kids Sake on April 20th at Langford Lanes. Our fundraising goal was $1200, which we exceeded, raising $1500! Every dollar raised through Bowl for Kids’ Sake supports their programs and allows them to match some of our communities most vulnerable children with a mentor. Outside of Tecnet’s fundraising goal, we donated a silent auction prize.
We can’t reach our fundraising goals without the help of our community. Thank you to everyone who supported, fund raised, bowled and cheered us on! Together, we can drive positive change right here in our community.
